Updated: Jul 18, 2023

Courtship is a time when a romantic relationship is explored and an exhilarating experience filled with anticipation, happiness, chemistry, love and sometimes life partnership. The awkward moments leading to the courtship tend to create the fondest memories! We all remember this moment: “Wanna dance?”

The singleness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) has yielded much success in the 21st Century! The Science and Technology community championed vaccines to thwart the Covid-19 virus. Technological advances lessened Cyber Security threats, and Engineering and Architectural experts revolutionized 3D printing. It is well documented (and we concur) that much has been accomplished as a “single” STEM community.

But how much more powerful is the STEM community with a partner?

The careful dance between STEM and Entrepreneurship is an exploratory courtship that widens advancements in STEM and extends Innovation into entrepreneurial spaces. STEM Entrepreneurship. Wow! The two sound good together and with strategic planning, a courtship opens an opportunity to create a legacy in STEM and Entrepreneurship realms. What is a breakthrough in Science without a home Covid-19 exam kit? What is novel Technology without Amazon or Apple?

Fun fact: Did you know that Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is a STEM graduate? He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

The brain functions that control happiness and love are the limbic cortex and hypothalamus, respectively. Envision the magical emotion experienced during the courtship between STEM and Entrepreneurship beginning with, “Wanna dance?” With the chemistry existing between them, I’m confident the two will advance the courtship to the next level!
